A Worthy Cause

In Huntsville City Schools, there is a vast deviation in students' achievement scores in most schools in the Black communities and the students' interest in Science, Math, and Reading.

Huntsville Schools got a "C" on the State Report Card from the Alabama Department of Education in 2020. The report card was based on several factors, including academic achievements, growth, graduation rates, absenteeism, college, and career-ready data. According to the State Test Scores, 44% of students are at least proficient in Math and 46% in reading.

Your donation or sponsorship will help the students in our tutorial programs, scholarships, two (2) day STEM/STEAM Summer Camp, New Media Art Center Annual Awards Program, and public recognition. By supporting New Media Arts Center, you are directly investing in the students' lives. Your investment is tax-deductible. Your investment will further increase the recruitment and retention of STEM/STEAM majors.

New Media Arts Center is a non-profit organization and a division of Speakin' Out News. Speakin' Out News is the longest-running African American Newspaper in history, published in the city of Huntsville for over 42 years.
